The Reading Festival Tickets is a annual music festivals that take place in Reading Festival in the United Kingdom and are run by Festival Republic (itself owned by Live Nation and MCD). The events take place simultaneously on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday of the August bank holiday weekend, sharing the same bill. Between 1998 and 2007 the dual festivals were known officially as the “Carling Weekend”, until parting ways with their sponsor Carling in November 2007. The Reading Festival, the world’s oldest popular music festival still in existence, has had various musical phases, as detailed below. In the twin-site era, rock, alternative, indie, punk and metal have tended to dominate.

The festivals are run by Festival Republic, which was divested from Mean Fiddler Music Group. For promotional purposes during 1998-2007 they were known as the Carling Weekend: Reading Festival and the Carling Weekend: Leeds. Unsurprisingly, these titles were seldom used when not required, although NME did so as part of its involvement. In November 2007, the organisers welcomed “Reading Festival reclaiming its prestigious name” when the sponsored title was abolished after 9 years. In 2007, the capacity of the Reading site was 80,000 and the Leeds site was 70,000.

This was an increase of several thousand on previous years. The Reading festival is held at Little John’s Farm on Richfield Avenue in central Reading, near the Caversham Bridge. The Leeds event is held in Bramham Park, near Wetherby, the grounds of an historic house. Campsites are available at both sites and weekend tickets include free camping. Day tickets are also sold.

The Reading Festival Bridge is an occasionally present footbridge over the River Thames at Reading Festival in the English county of Berkshire. When present, the bridge links the site of the Reading Festival, on the south bank of the river, with camp sites and car parking on the north bank. The bridge is within the security perimeter of the festival, and is only available for use by festival goers. The Reading Festival Bridge in 2008 The bridge structure is a temporary construction, erected on permanent footings, and was first erected to serve visitors to the Reading Festival in 2008 at an initial cost of £1 million. The intention is that the bridge will be dismantled and stored for most of the year, being re-erected for future festivals. It replaces a ferry service operated in previous years, which caused complaints over excessive queues.

The bridge crosses the river from the western end of the main festival site, some 200 m (660 ft) east of Scours Lane and within the Borough of Reading Festival. The northern end of the bridge lies in the Oxfordshire civil parish of Mapledurham, on land leased from the Mapledurham Estate. Like the main festival site, the northern camp site and car park is used as farmland for most of the year. The Bridge eases access to the town of Reading and events run by the annual Reading Fringe Festival. In 2009, a wider bridge with improved aesthetics was constructed. The construction sequence of the 2009 bridge also resulted in less disruption to river traffic. Only a single two hour river closure order was required when installing the bridge, and similarly when removing it. All construction work was carried out at the bridge site, rather than upstream on the Mapledurham estate.

Together they are taking music from the country to places its never been before while still paying homage to the musicians who laid the foundation for the American music we know today. For James and Hernandez this is music that even a modern and mainstream audience cant ignore. Its music of the people. Both born and raised in country towns themselves, their understanding and interpretation of this music is uncanny; as if the secret came through the pipes with the water they drank growing up. From the first note to the last, their audiences find out very quickly whos in charge. The music takes the reignsthe stories and songs speak for themselves. Sometimes we dont know what the heck theyre gonna do says Hernandez. You wouldnt think that just two people could generate this much sound, but they do. The two share vocal duties, switching off from song to song or harmonizing. They also play a host of instruments, some of them even homemade. Nathan James plays …

mom read journal, parents now know entire life story.. advice before college?
i'll try to sum up what is a long, sad story.. and i don't want anybody telling me advice about counseling and what not because i know for a fact that is not needed, ive talked so much out with my closest friends and some family, and i am/always have been mentally stable and have priorities and morals and the whole she-bang, so just listen to this and i'm asking for help and the best advice you can give pertaining to mine and my parents relationship….

so long story short:
a month ago now, my journal "accidentally fell out of my backpack" which just so happened to be partially zipped against my bed. there's the first sign… *not an accident, obviously* and fell into the hands of my mother. now.. some background.. i am 17 years young and a very strong person with big opinions and different views from the rest of my very conservative and traditional family. ive shaped these views from personal experience, and throughout being close with some of my friends for up to 9 years now.
so in that journal….my parents now know about my "sex life" (like every teenager has… just the usual fun stuff, but still a virgin), they know how much i love music, how ive grown close to/seeing my boss from work at a restaurant who is substantially older than i, they now know how ive smoked pot/experimented, and how ive tried shrooms while at a festival in may. you can only imagine what it must be like for parents to know now this information about their only daughter, and seeing as how ive always had good grades/job/priorities.. this news can be more than devastating.

my point is, i know what i am doing in my life. i have good reasons that i dont feel the need to share on this site, but what i do need is advice.. you see, ive now lost any trust that was left in me from my parents, i am actually dead to them in some ways, needless to say ive had a cancelled cell phone service, no laptop, and no car since the incident, and ive still managed to get along fine.. but what they dont notice is that theyre going about this all wrong.
and it is quite obvious to say i dont trust them in any way, either..

how can i reform my relationship with my parents even though im going away to be a freshman in college in less than a week? it seems as though a lifetime of love and care have gone down the drain as theyve discovered who i really am….. sad but true
